Francis P. Shuckerow was born on June 7, 1897 in Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut. He was the son of James J. Shuckerow and Eliza Ryan Shuckerow. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Corporal in Company F, 102nd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He died on October 27, 1918 in France at the age of 21 and is now buried in Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield, Hartford County, Connecticut.
