Henry J. Schmitz was born in 1894. He was the son of Paul Schmitz and Magdalena Schmitz. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I in Company F, 102nd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He was Killed in Action in 1918 and is now buried in Fair Haven Union Cemetery, New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut, USA.
