Earl Augustus Schiller was born on June 20, 1894 in Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company K, 102nd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He died from his wounds received in battle on September 23, 1918 in France at the age of 24 and is now buried in Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield, Hartford County, Connecticut, USA.
