Homer Albert Porter was born on July 3, 1899. He was the son of Albert G. Porter. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Corporal in the 102nd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He died on April 20, 1918 and is now buried in Oak Grove Cemetery, West Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut, USA.
