Robert A. C. Peters was born on February 22, 1889 in Brainerd, Crow Wing County, Minnesota. He was the son of Charles Martin Peters and Matilda Peters. He registered for the World War I draft in June, 1917. He joined as a U.S. Army private in the 102nd Infantry Regiment, 26th Division and died in northern France on July 21, 1918, in the Aisne-Marne Offensive that successfully pushed the Germans back to the north.
