Thomas J. Murray was the son of Michael Murray and Margaret Sweeney Murray. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company K, 102nd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He was Killed in Action on October 25, 1918 in France during the battle of Meuse-Argonne and is now buried in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain, Lorain County, Ohio, USA.
