Gerald Maddy was born on August 10, 1895 in Richmond, Wayne County, Indiana. He was the son of Frank and Alice Maddy. He sailed for France June, 1918; assigned to Company B, 102nd Infantry, 26th Div. He died on August 2, 1918 at the age of 22 and is now buried in Chateau-Thierry French National Cemetery, Chateau-Thierry, Departement de l'Aisne, Picardie, France.
