Paul Theodore Loescher was born on July 17, 1894 in Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut. He was the son of Anton F. Loescher and Ida Weisner Loescher. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Corporal in Machine Gun Company, 102nd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He was Killed in Action on July 20, 1918 in the second Battle of Marne in France at the age of 24 and is now buried in Fairview Cemetery, West Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut, USA.
