David Frederick Lindgren was born in 1899 in New Britain, Hartford County, Connecticut. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in the 102nd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He was Killed in Action on April 20, 1918 in France and is now buried in St. Mihiel American Cemetery, Thiaucourt, France.
