Marshall D. Leach was born on September 6, 1894 in Plymouth, Litchfield County, Connecticut. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Corporal in Company H, 102nd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He was Killed in Action on July 20, 1918 and is now buried in Aisne-Marne American Cem., Belleau, France.
