Warren Haven Joyce was born on November 18, 1894 in Brockton, Plymouth County, Massachusetts. He was the son of Albion Lloyd and Elizabeth Wiley (Haven) Joyce. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private First Class in the 102nd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He died on October 24, 1918 and is now buried in Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery and Memorial, Romagne-sous-Montfaucon, Departement de la Meuse, Lorraine, France.
