William Arthur Jewell was born on May 24, 1890 in Pulaski, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Second Lieutenant in the 102nd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He was Killed in Action on July 22, 1918 in second Battle of the Marne in France and is now buried in Neshannock Presbyterian Cemetery, New Wilmington, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, USA.
