Clifford West Henry was born in June 1896 in New York. He was the son of Ira Walton Henry and Frances S. Henry. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Captain in the 102nd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He died from his wounds received in battle on October 17, 1918 in France at the age of 22 and is now buried in First Congregational Church Cemetery, Greenwich, Fairfield County, Connecticut, USA.
