John H. Hendrickson was born on January 3, 1896 in Centerport, Suffolk County, New York. He entered the military service in Connecticut and served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in the 102nd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He was Killed in Action on July 22, 1918 and is now buried in Oise-Aisne American Cemetery, Seringes-et- Nesles, France.
