Raymond W. Gambeian was born on April 30, 1900 in Massachusetts. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Corporal in the 102nd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He was Killed in Action on October 25, 1918 in France at the age of 18 and is now buried in Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery and Memorial, Romagne-sous-Montfaucon, Departement de la Meuse, Lorraine, France.
