Christopher Terrence Flaherty was born on January 6, 1889 in New Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private First Class in the 102nd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He was Killed in Action on October 23, 1918 and is now buried in Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery and Memorial, Romagne-sous-Montfaucon, Departement de la Meuse, Lorraine, France. He also has a memorial located in Saint Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven, New Haven County, Connecticut, USA.
