Edward Thomas Farrell was born on February 26, 1888 in Hartford, Hartford County, Connecticut. He was the son of Thomas Farrell and Ann McKone. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private First Class in Company B, 102nd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He died on August 30, 1918 in France at the age of 30 and is now buried in Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield, Hartford County, Connecticut, USA.
