John Bessie Farina was born on January 12, 1894 in Felicity, Clermont County, Ohio. He was the son of John J. Farina and Caroline Laub Baumann Farina. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I in the 102nd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He died on October 26, 1918 in France at the age of 24 and is now buried in Greenmound Cemetery, New Richmond, Clermont County, Ohio, USA.
