Leonard E. Erickson was born in 1899 in Millville, Worcester County, Massachusetts. He entered the military service in Connecticut and served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in the 102nd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He was declared "Missing in Action" on July 25, 1918 and is commemorated on Tablets of the Missing, Aisne-Marne American Cemetery, Belleau, France.
