Carl E. Erickson was born on September 8, 1891 in Woodland Center, Aroostook County, Maine. He was the son of Frederick L. Erickson and Anna Christina Larson Erickson. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company L, 102nd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He died on May 22, 1918 in France at the age of 26 and is now buried in New Sweden Cemetery, New Sweden, Aroostook County, Maine, USA.
