John J. Bresnahan was born on October 14, 1889. He was the son of Michael J. Bresnahan and Ellen M. Russell Bresnahan. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I in Company L, 102nd Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He died in 1918 and is now buried in Saint Mary's Cemetery, Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts, USA.
