Sebastiano Barber was born in 1897 in Italy. He was a Private in Company B, 102nd Infantry and at the time when he enlisted induced twenty three Italian friends to enter the service with him. He was killed in the Battle of the Marne on July 23, 1918 and isnow buried in Oise-Aisne American Cemetery, Seringes-et- Nesles, France.
