Floyd D. White was born on July 4, 1892. He was the son of Mordecai D. White and Alice V. Green White. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I in Machine Gun Company, 101st Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He died on October 27, 1918 in France at the age of 26 and is now buried in Zion Methodist Church, Seaford, York County, Virginia, USA.
