When Warren Wheeler Wetherbee was born on May 2, 1898, in Stow, Massachusetts, his father, Amon, was 40 and his mother, Henrietta, was 38. He had one brother and one sister. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company M, 101st Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He was Killed in Action in July 1918 in France and is now buried in Brookside Cemetery, Stow, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA.
