Walter A. Walsh was born on September 27, 1897 in Waltham, Middlesex County, Massachusetts. He was the son of Robert Richard Walsh and Ellen M. Armitage Walsh. he served in the U.S. Army during World War I in the 101st Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He died on September 12, 1918 in Lorraine, France and is now buried in Calvary Cemetery and Mausoleum, Waltham, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA.
