William Roy Douthit was born in 1889. He was the son of William F. Douthit and Susan Louellen Drummond Douthit. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company A, 101st Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division. He died on November 13, 1918 and is now buried in Odessa Cemetery, Odessa, Lafayette County, Missouri, USA.
