Served in Co. B, 101st Infantry Regt., 26th Division.
Notes: son of Dennis and Julia (Hurley) Barry of Castle St, Dunmanway, County Cork, Ire.; brother of Mrs. Catherine Ronayne of Charlestown, Julia, Nellie, and Eugene, all of Dunmanway. Grocery clerk. Resident in Massachusetts three years. There was much newspaper coverage of his burial in Charlestown in mid January 1922. Emmigrated in 1914 William J. Barry died while serving in the US Army during World War I in the 101st Infantry Regiment, 26th Infantry "Yankee" Division .
