Resident of Somerville Massachusetts. Enlisted in the Massachusetts National Guard June 22, 1916 Co. M 8th Infantry. Served on the Mexican Border. Transferred to 104th Infantry, 26th Division. Deployed overseas September 27,1917. Killed in Action at Samogneux. Buried in France. His remains were later brought home for burial.

Trum Field on Broadway Somerville Massachusetts named in his memory.

Bronze Star w/V. Purple heart. Allied Expeditionary Medal.
