When Pvt. Donald Pomeroy Milham was born on December 13, 1894, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, his father, Frederick, was 36 and his mother, Jennie, was 33. He had three brothers and two sisters. He entered the military service on May 25, 1918. He was sent to Camp Custer and was assigned to Company I, 337th Infantry, 85th Division. He was sent overseas and transferred to Company A, 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on October 4, 1918 at Exermont in Argonne, France and is now buried in Mountain Home Cemetery, Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo County, Michigan, USA.
