Walter Gambrel Albert was born on January 15, 1887 in Hagerstown, Maryland. He was the son of Jacob Powles Albert and Alice Margaret Dunn Albert. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private. He was Killed in Action in Meuse Argonne, France on September 29, 1918 at the age of 31 and is now buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown, Washington County, Maryland, USA.
