When William H. Stover was born in September 1893 in Pennsylvania, his father, NicholasFredrick, was 22 and his mother, Elizabeth, was 20. He had one brother and three sisters. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Battery D, 5th Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Division. He was Killed in Action on March 4, 1918 in France at the age of 26 and is now buried in Lower Merion Baptist Church Cemetery, Bryn Mawr, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, USA.
