Eph Boggs was born on March 2, 1892 in Olive Hill, Carter County, Kentucky. He was the son of James and Mary Elizabeth Wamack Boggs. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Corporal in Company K, 18th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on March 2, 1918 in Bourgogne, France at the age of 26 and is now buried in Buskirk Cemetery, Buskirk, Pike County, Kentucky, USA.
