First Division Monument (San Mihiel)
Nonsard Liberation- 16th Infantry, 1st Infantry Division
Harry Alexander Niles was the son of Albert and Ola(Jeffries) Niles. He was born October 15, 1899 in Mitchell, Indiana and he was a laborer.
He enlisted in the Regular Army in February 1917 in Bloomington, Indiana and was sent to Ft. Bliss, Texas. He was assigned to Company G, 16th Infantry and attached to the 1st Division. He was deployed overseas in June, 1917. He was killed in action September 12, 1918 in the St. Mihiel Drive.
