Alvin Willard Benshoff, aged 28, was born on July 15, 1916 in Millville, Columbia County, Pennsylvania. He was the son of David Benshoff and Goldie May Hoffman Benshoff. Alvin served in Company B, 363rd Infantry, 91st Infantry Division as a Private during World War II. He was Killed in Action on October 19, 1944 in the battle around the area of Ponzalla in Italy and is now buried in the New Rosemont Cemetery, Espy, Columbia County, Pennsylvania, USA.
