Stanley Cielesz was born on March 15, 1895, in Poland. He was the son of Alec Cielesz and entered military service in Michigan. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Private in Company G, 28th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He died on July 19, 1918 and is now buried in Oise-Aisne American Cemetery, Seringes-et- Nesles, France. His name is commemorated on the Buzancy monument in the MISSING IN ACTION section of the monument.
