Thomas J. O'Keefe entered the military service in Illinois. Heserved in the U.S. Army during World War I as a Corporal in Company H, 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action on October 5, 1918 and is now buried in Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery and Memorial, Romagne-sous-Montfaucon, Departement de la Meuse, Lorraine, France. His name is commemorated on the Buzancy monument in the MISSING IN ACTION section of the monument and ranked as a Private First Class.
