James Hunter Mason was born on February 7, 1923. His father is Charles Raymond and his mother is Eddie Belle Duff. He was married to Lucy Anne Bradshaw. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a Private First Class in Company E, 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division. He was Killed in Action on December 21, 1944 (at the age of 21) and is now buried in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin City, Franklin City, Virginia, USA.
