James Howard Boggs' home was at Lincoln, Nebraska. He entered the service at Lorella, Oregon, on September 18, 1917. After several months In a training camp on the west coast, he was sent to Camp Mills to a regular Army Infantry Division, which was stationed there at that time. He went to France In February, 1918. He was Killed in Action while passing through a heavy machine gun barrage, but, declared "Missing" on July 19, 1918. He is memorialized on Tablets of the Missing, Aisne-Marne American Cemetery, Belleau, France.
