6th U.S. Cavalry Regiment Monument

This monument can be found in the center of a circular memorial surrounded by hedgerow, in the shape of a star at ground level.
Monument The monument is composed of stone in the shape of a star about 5ft. (1.5m) across. At the center of the star is a plaque honoring the liberation of Vianden, Luxembourg by the 6th U.S. Cavalry Regiment in February 12th, 1945. The liberation of Vianden was one of the last allied offensive efforts of the Battle of Bulge. The plaque bears the coat of arms of the city of Vianden on the left, and the insignia of the 6th U.S. Cavalry Regiment on the right.
