est mort pour notre liberte
le 1st Lt Ronald NICHOLS
de l'aviation américaine.
Son navigateur, le 2nd Lt Elbert HARRIS
a pu, grace a des habitants puis au maquis ROGER
regagner son pays apres la libération.
English translation:
USAF 1st Lt Ronald Nichols died for our liberty on August 12th 1944. His navigator 2nd Lt Elbert Harris returned home after the liberation thanks to the help of local inhabitants and the Roger cell of the French resistance.
