A small boulder bearing a black plaque with gold lettering and the US and French flags over its top, commemorating Lt Robert Couture of the 354th Fighter Squadron, 355th Fighter Group who was shot down nearby on D-Day, and was assisted in escaping and evading the enemy by the French Resistance network.
