In honor of
COLONEL ROBERT M. MURPHY (1924-2008)
On 6 June 1944 at 0015 hours parachuted near Sainte-Mère-Eglise as the first pathfinder of the 82nd Airborne Division to land in Normandy.
After marking the drop zone for the 505th PIR he then went on to help liberate this town from oppression.
