This plaque is dedicated to John McGeachie, who was a staff sergeant for the 846th Bomber Squadron, 489th Bomber Group in World War II. His B-24 Liberator was shot down in Villers-Saint-Paul, just north of Creil. While the rest of his crew survived the crash, SSG McGeachie died in the crash. This plaque commemorates SSG McGeachie's brave sacrifice.
