In the center of Place Patton, surrounded by 4 red benches. The base is covered in flowers, bushes, and other low vegetation. Monument A rough fieldstone monument containing 3 bronze plaques, 2 of them circular, 1 of them rectangular. The top left plaque has a carving of General Patton and his name around the edge of it, the top right plaque has a carving of a tank with the names of several regions throughout France going around its edge, and the rectangular one in the center says "Thionville Grateful." The monument is in honor of General George S. Patton, whose units of his 3rd Army liberated the city of Thionville from German occupation.
