112th Infantry Regiment Plaque
Details:
The plaque is located at the northeast end of the courtyard against the south wall of the museum building. Plaque The bronze plaque was placed at the site on 4 February 1995 in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the town's liberation (4 February 1945). It recognizes the 1st French Shock Battalion as well as the 112th US Infantry Regiment, 28th Infantry Division. All text is in French and printed in embossed lettering. The insignia of both units is featured on painted figures beneath the plaque.
