Located on the Col des Huttes in the forêt de Champ along a dirt road.

Monument
The grey stone monument with bronze plaque and embossed gold lettering in French honors the 1st Battalion of the 141st Infantry (36th Infantry Division) which was surrounded by German forces in October 1944, as well as the 442nd Regimental Combat Team which attempted to rescue them and suffered large numbers of casualties in the process. This monument was inaugurated in 1984.
