LANDED BY GLIDER NEAR STE MERE EGLISE
THUS BEGAN THE LONG JOURNEY
TO LIBERATE THE COUNTRIES OF EUROPE
AND TO ENSURE THEIR FREEDOM
THIS PLAQUE IS DEDICATED IN MEMORY
OF OUR FRIENDS WHO SHED THEIR BLOOD
AND SACRIFICED THEIR LIVES
