English Translation : Liberation Bridge
On 27 and 28 August 1944 Combat Command B of the 3rd Armored Division and the 16th Infantry Regiment, both of the US 12th Army Group (General Bradley), with an irresistible élan, crossed the Marne here with 35 ton tanks over a temporary bridge of 8 tons.
