In the churchyard, north of the church, along the outer wall next to the CWGC grave of RAF Sgt. (Air Gunner) Terence Michael Twomey.


Isolated Burial

The isolated burial of Technical Sergeant Harry J. Ambrosini in a civilian inscribed dark granite upright gravestone.

TSgt Ambrosini was the top gunner on the B-24 #4129479 'Big Bad Wolf '  of the 715th Bomber Squadron, 448th Bomber Group.  On April 29, 1944 on a mission to bomb Berlin the plane was shot down; Ambrosini was KIA as his Shute did not open.  All other crew survived.  Several were taken POW while others, with the help of local civilians were able to escape through Sweden.
