A museum centering on local history of the centuries to modern day.  The museum includes a display on one tragic day in the skies above the Werre Valley, September 27, 1944 when over the course of 5 minutes German fighters attacked B-24 Bombers of the 445th Bomber Group on the Kassel Mission.  The display includes explanations of the battle along pieces of aircraft found in the local area.  

The museum was also instrumental in placing numerous memorials marking the location and remembering the crews of German and American down aircraft.
